Tara De Nicholas, Vice President for Nvite

With more than 11+ years of experience in communications, marketing, business development, events and fundraising, Tara is the VP of Business Development for nvite. In 2006 as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Washington Humane Society (WHS)Tara developed the most visible charity event in Washington, DC — Fashion for Paws for WHS. Tara was promoted to the role of Executive Director in 2009 and evolved Fashion for Paws from an “outside- the­ donation ­box” grass roots idea into a dynamic fundraising platform raising $3.2 million dollars for WHS and an exceptional amount of media/social media attention.Tara holds a B.A. in anthropology and a Master’s degree in business leadership from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Tara has been published in the Chronicle of the Horse Magazine, Washington Life Magazine and in the Huffington Post. In October of 2010 Tara was chosen as the featured “Working Woman” in a special ABC TV News segment and in March of 2012 Biz Bash Magazine named Tara one of the “Most Innovative People in Events.”In 2012, as part of the Georgetown University Business program, Tara traveled to South Africa to teach entrepreneurship. In 2013, Georgetown University named Tara “Entrepreneur of the Year.”
