    Tour de Melon is a Family trail ride and a Century ride on an area highway route sponsored by Suwannee Valley Rotary Club. The ride takes place each year in conjunction with Chiefland's Annual Watermelon Festival. It all starts Saturday, June 7th. Pre-registration is suggested at http://www.tourdemelon.com. Mass group starting time is 8:00 AM for an unforgettable ride through rural North Florida. Enjoy the beautiful scenery with vast areas of ranches, cropland and nature. Delicious, sweet watermelon at every stop, lunch and T-shirt included. Proceeds from the ride benefit national and local charities.
